Dear Parents: 

Now, we are studying money.  Please continue to review time with your child and go over money amounts too.  If your child has not brought in the money for counting, please do so.   Please have your child bring in $1 worth of each coin. (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars)  They can have play money or real money to count.  You will get this back at the end of the year.  They keep it in their big space.  Even when we are done with the unit, they will still practice with games sometimes  after morning work is complete. 

We are studying George Washington.  Please go over your study guide.  In Science we are studying the moon, sun, comets, and stars.  Please keep all your study guides for the sun, this unit , and the next one on the solar system.  We will have a cumulative test.

We had a great time at the planetarium.  We learned alot about space.  I will send home a schedule of their evening shows you can go to with your child.  It is a good free, fun activity.
