1st GRADE

The first grade classroom is self-contained with the exception of resource classes for art, music, physical education, and library. A well-balanced, yet diverse program is planned for students. The program includes reading, language, spelling, writing, math, science, history, and Bible. Field trips, assembly programs, and sporting events are frequently scheduled.

  • Independent Reading: Some class time is allocated for independent reading and testing through Book Adventures. All students are expected to set personal goals and can choose from a variety of genre.
